The symbolism and elements depicted were inspired by our wedding day attire, family emblems, and the new year. There are two family emblems included in the design. The pink flower design on the top right is my family emblem, while the green flower design on the left side is my husband's family emblem. The pink color, crane, water waves, chrysanthemum, and cherry blossom are all elements inspired by my wedding-day kimono and dress. I also wanted to include the red seam at the edge of the card to mimic the white wedding day kimono with a red seam. The brown color, checkered pattern, and plaid pattern are inspired by my husband's wedding-day kimono and suit. Since our wedding day was held in January, we included the crane, which symbolizes good fortune and longevity and is often depicted in weddings and the new year.
